It’s not easy finding a Buenos Aires hotel with a large swimming pool, especially in the most upscale section of the Palermo area. CasaSur Bellini has one though, with a debut just in time for summer in Argentina.
Located around the corner from the zoo and Museo Evita, a short distance from the botanical gardens, it doesn’t have a lot of hotel competition. “It sits in the middle of a tree–lined neighborhood rich with fashionable cafés and artisanal ice cream shops. It is, in short, an enviable address.”
This new Preferred Boutique hotel is CasaSur’s second in the city. With 80 rooms, it’s much larger and more luxurious than its Recoleta sibling. Each has a whirlpool tub, 42-inch TV, iPod dock, and kitchenette, while the top category rooms have Nespresso machines as well. Safes are big enough for a laptop and Wi-Fi is included in rates, which are reasonable at $225 a night max.
These rooms offer a nice setting for enjoying a glass of wine too, with furnished balconies and kitchenettes that have stemless wine glasses, a fridge, and a corkscrew (of course).
There’s also a gym on site with a reasonable amount of new equipment and a spa if you need a rubdown. You won’t find an array of drinking and dining options, but in a walkable neighborhood like this you’ll probably want to go out exploring anyway.
Our reviewer noted that the restaurant is currently too small to accommodate the breakfast crowd and if you’re looking for a large multi-room suite to stretch out in, this is not your place: there are only two kinds of rooms. For those planning to explore the city before lounging in a stylish and comfortable room in Palermo though, CasaSur Bellini may be just right. Especially if you’re arriving in one of the hot months and want to cool off by the pool or swim laps.
