Luxury Villa, Hotel Services at Chabil Mar in Belize

There are plenty of places to rent a luxury villa in Belize, but this new Chabil Mar one on the beach in Placencia offers access to pools, a bar, restaurant, and staff services.

While Ambergris Caye gets the biggest chunk of the vacation visitors to Belize, Placencia is where the action is in terms of new luxury developments and expansion. This thin peninsula that we’ve covered quite a bit keeps getting better as the years go by. One of the top resorts there for the past dozen years has been Chabil Mar Villas. It has expanded in stages several times, adding services and upgrades. plus new excursions and combo stays with other properties. The latest addition is a new 2,000 square foot villa open to guests for booking.

It’s a dramatic space, with a custom Belizean wood spiral staircase to the master bedroom suite and loft, which overlooks the living area below. It has four distinctive verandas (two enclosed, two outdoors) The two outdoor ones face the beach and sea, one of them on the second floor. The villa has its own parking area for those who drove in and a golf cart is included for exploring the local village.

As with all luxury Chabil Mar Villas, you get zoned air conditioning, ceiling fans, complimentary Wi-Fi, and a fully equipped modern kitchen. There are lots of other villas you could rent in the region of course, but few are going to be right on the beach, near the village, and with full services on site. Here you’re not off on your own on an isolated patch of land. Chabil Mar has an attractive bar, a full restaurant, staffers who can arrange tours, and a gorgeous pier where you can go sip a sundowner. Plus there are several swimming pools on site.

This luxury villa on two levels would be an ideal choice for the honeymoon couple after a a destination wedding, or it works well for a family who needs a separate bedroom. When you step outside though, there’s plenty on site to keep everyone entertained and a bartender ready to mix up drinks.
